Connor Clift is a 2019 C/OF/MIF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Anaheim Hills, CA who attends Canyon HS. Medium frame with a strong, athletic build. Right handed hitter with a straight, balanced stance and leg lift trigger. Hands start at a slightly lower set and launch on a level, compact plane. Shows good barrel and hand skills throughout the zone with the ability to hit to all fields with consistency. barreled contact throughout batting practice showing good strength and bat speed at contact that produces solid jump to the gaps. Worked out defensively from behind the plate show a low, athletic set with good hip flexion. Creates solid linear gain to the bag with clean, compact exchanges. Throws from compact three-quarters arm slot that produces very accurate throws with carry to the bag. Topped at 75 mph with a best workout pop of 1.95. Sound, polished athletic actions while working behind the plate. Very good student as well.
