El Rico Riley is a 2019 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Westlake. Athletic frame with length in build. Ran a 6.75 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary shortstop. Fields out front with quick and clean hands and smooth glovework. Good range working in both directions. Contact oriented approach with a line drive plane. Works to contact with a linear shift. Can impact the ball when connecting out front and getting loft. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a small side step to high leg lift delivery. Stays flexed at gather working into drop and drive actions. Loose action in the back producing arm speed through a high three-quarter release. Creates plane on the fastball with life touching 89 miles per hour. Hard downward breaking 12-to-6 curveball with sharp and late action. Very good student. Named to the 2019 Pre-Draft Showcase Top Prospect List. Verbal commitment to St. Petersburg College.
