2015 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Nick Maiorisi is a 2016 SS/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Scituate, RI who attends La Salle Academy. Medium, athletic frame with a present strenght on build and some room remaining to fill out. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, moves well to the ball and shows range up the middle, fields the ball out front, compact arm action with a lower slot release, comes through the ball well and generates some extension out front. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow stance and a lower hand set in the box. Upper body swing with a line drive swing plane, easy and under control swing with balance. Small stride into contact, shows a nice feel and control of barrel head and willingness to use all fields. Solid contact approach with extension out front and bat speed through the zone. Very good student.
