Ben Bolton is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Cottage Hill Christian Academy. Medium frame with long, lean and athletic build. Room to fill out, projects well physically. Right handed hit, medium leg lift trigger, aggressive weight shift and gets spread at contact. Quality bat speed and ability to whip the barrel, shows ability to manipulate the bat head and work to all fields. Can occasionally be late in getting foot down, but when in rhythm he shows natural carry to the gaps and ability to backspin the baseball. Middle infielder, athletic in the field, stays down and moves well to either side. Shows ability to get rid of the ball quickly and solid actions when reacting rather than thinking too much in the field. Excellent student.
