Blake Elsbecker is a 2016 OF/IF with a 6-2 193 lb. frame from Algona, IA who attends Algona HS. Tall and angular athletic build, has some present strength and more to come. 7.05 runner, works through the ball on defense in the outfield, gets his glove down early and stays balance, loose arm action and sound footwork, solid fundamentals defensively. Left handed hitter, upright stance, has a short swing with a slight uphill swing path, hands stay tight to the body but have good quickness, swing is smooth and fluid, can unlock more power and bat speed with better separation at and through contact.
