Zach Asnes is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Tolland, CT who attends Tolland HS. Asnes has a medium sized frame with an athletic build. Defensively he has good footwork to the baseball and is aggressive to the ball. Asnes has good defensive actions and has clean transfers and release. He has some arm strength with some carry on his throws. At the plate, Asnes starts with a high back elbow and uses a leg lift trigger to start his swing. He has some bat waggle and has some hand quickness to the ball. Asnes hits the ball out front and looks to pull the ball. He has some bat speed with developing strength in his swing.
