Hunter Bogumil is a 2018 RHP/OF with a 6-5 170 lb. frame from Bradenton, FL who attends Out-Of-Door Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, on line delivery with a short stride and upright release. Long and loose arm action, comes through the back easy working to a high three-quarters arm slot, gets on top and generates nice plane. Topped out at 84 mph and comes out clean and easy, controls either side of the plate and can work in on hitters while showing running life to arm side. 11-5 shape to curveball with depth, shows sharpness and will continue to develop. Needs to maintains arm speed on changeup but replicates arm action, fade at 73 mph. Projects very well. Similar full arm action from the outfield, comes out of hands well, developing actions, fields the ball out front. Righthanded hitter, begins with an upright stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Uses a toe tap trigger for timing, long swing path through the zone, generates momentum and creates line drive contact with linear plane, utilizes lower half well and can go to the opposite field. Named to Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Good student.
