Lawson Landers is a 2017 RHP/1B, C with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Athens, GA who attends Clarke Central High School. Large frame, lean, slender build, athleticism, long limbs, and room to continue to fill out physically. Primary right handed pitcher, started with a big rocker step into his delivery, slight pause at balance point, leg lift past waist, and drives from lower half. Compact, repeatable delivery working from the first base side of the rubber with a crossfire element, and threw from a three quarter arm slot. Created plane down in the zone with mostly true life to 77-79 mph fastball. Worked both sides of the plate and mixed in a 10/4 shaped curveball at 70 mph with maintained arm speed. Curveball showed depth with slight sweeping action and worked over for strikes. Will continue to improve with additional strength.
