Jarrod Cande is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Hillsborough HS. Long lean build with room to fill out and add strength. Hits from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Line drive swing plane with good extension, could use lower half more to get more power out of swing. Has quick hands to ball and made solid contact during games. Has good baseball speed and instincts on bases. Defensively, clean actions and footwork, shows strong arm from OF with good accuracy. Also pitched, short quick arm action, explodes out of balance point with good use of lower half. Fastball has good life to the arm side and feel for a change up with good arm side run. Showed slider feel with good spin and flashed tilt, should develop with consistent release point. Named to Top Prospect List. Good Student.
