Austin Stevens is a 2016 C/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Camas, WA who attends Camas. Medium, athletic frame with a lea, projectable build and room to fill out with added strength. Ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, shows athleticism behind the plate, throws with a short arm action, gets on top of ball well, quick transfer and release, gains some ground with lower half, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance with a narrow base, a high hand set and a high back elbow. Keeps hands in on swing, shows fluidity in swing with some bat speed, stays behind the ball well, line drive contact approach, showed ability to hit to all fields. Heads up instincts on the bases. Very good student.
