Bryce Bonner is a 2016 C/3B with a 5-9 190 lb. frame from Allen, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength throughout frame. Ran a 7.18 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, stays low behind the plate and uses lower half well to gain ground at release. Receives out front with soft hands, flexible actions with short arm action and strength down to second base from shorter arm action and tight release from ear. Similar arm action across the infield, tight release and gets on top of throws, moves well on feet to either side showing range. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a high hand set pull back. Short path to the ball with quick hands and line drive swing plane. Stays balanced through swing, patient approach and battles at the plate. Strong wrists, has a feel for the barrel and creates hard contact coming off. Named to South Top Prospect List. Good student.
