Jake Munoz is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Lewiston, ID who attends Lewiston. Medium frame, slender athletic build with hidden strength and room to fill. Put on a show in BP, surprising power from the left side. Very efficient swing, compact stroke with good extension through contact, good balance and creates leverage with good lower half use. Simple swing with good bat speed and frequently centered contact. Covers good ground in the outfield with good routes and a quick first step, outranges straight line speed as a result, arm works well and projects, long loose whippy arm action, accurate throws. Also pitched and ran fastball up to 79 from a low three quarters arm slot with a short quick arm action, cuts off extension, coiled delivery, fastball runs to the arm side, 1-7 sweeping action on curveball. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
