Jason Drees is a 2016 OF/1B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Stevenson Ranch, CA who attends West Ranch HS. Medium, athletic build with solid strength throughout body and good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.09 seconds. Hits from very spread stance, quick foot up/foot down load, shows some hand speed with solid jump off the barrel when timed up properly. Uses the whole field with line drive approach, has the ability to drive the ball out of the ballpark. Worked out defensively in the outfield, tracks the ball well and moves to it efficiently, fields clean and shows good transfer ability. Short, tight arm action with solid release, OF velocity clocked up to 80 MPH. Named to 2015 West Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
