Harrison Jacobs is a 2016 OF/RHP/C with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Shoreline, WA who attends Shorewood HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build, mature look. Right handed hitter, wrapped barrel start with a big shift into contact, high energy swing and will pull off before contact, looking to drive the ball and has good bat speed, ball jumps well when squared, has the strength to hit with a big less high effort approach. 7.31 runner, charges the ball well with good footwork, good arm strength with on line carry, accurate throws. Also pitched, over the top arm slot with some fall off to first base, very downhill angle to the plate. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, good angle and commands fastball well, primary fastball pitcher. Soft curveball spin with a short slider like break, direction on release impacts curveball release, attacked hitters aggressively. Very good student.
