Joey Rose is a 2016 3B/1B with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Toms River, NJ who attends Toms River North HS. Strong athletic build, fairly mature physically. High level defensive tools at third base, works through the ball well, loose and fluid arm action with outstanding arm strength, accurate throws, has quick and active feet. Right handed hitter, open spread stance, long and strong swing, rotational upper body swing with limited lower half use, looks to get his arms extended and drive the ball, ball jumps well off the barrel when squared, has the strength to hit with adjustments to shorten up. Good student, verbal commitment to Oklahoma State.
