Justin Connell is a 2017 SS/3B with a 6-1 182 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Charles W Flanagan HS. Has a lager frame, athletic build, and has clear sign of present strength and physicality. Posted a 6.51 sixty yard dash and was able to show off his plus speed on the base paths and in the field. From the infield, showed solid actions and fielded the baseball out front with quick transfers into throwing position. Throws came from a full arm action deep through the back with good arm strength and carry across getting up to 86 MPH. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with an upright, open stance. He has a patient approach at the plate and is able to commit to the baseball with strong hands. He takes a bigger hack and looks to hit the baseball with authority. He generates good leverage throughout the swing with natural lift and has good power potential with more to come in the future. Good student. Named to 2016 Sunshine East Top Prospect List.
