Triston Casas is a 2018 3B/1B with a 6-4 238 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends American Heritage HS. Extra long and large athletic build, has really done a good job of streamlining and strengthening his body over the last year, showing big gains in athleticism. Left handed hitter, has improved his shift and rhythm into his swing, long and loose swing the lots of loft, big strength at contact, best power is to the middle of the field, can hit the ball a long way, has always shown advanced barrel skills and the ability to square up the ball. Improved third base actions, loose in his hips and has some lateral range, makes accurate throws on the move, also plays first base and is an asset at that position defensively. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami. Selected for the 2017 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
