Matthew Schmidt is a 2015 3B/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Regis Jesuit HS. Tall well proportioned athletic build, some present strength with more to come. 7.03 runner, clean actions at third base, has some lateral range, short quick steps, good hands with a quick exchange, some arm strength with good accuracy and some on line carry. Right handed hitter, sound mechanical swing, good quick hands to the ball, has some bat speed when he keeps his swing short, will reach and get long at times. Good student.
