Matt Persons is a 2013 2B/OF, 3B with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Smyrna, GA who attends Campbell High School HS. Medium frame with room to fill. Has a short arm action in the infield, takes good angles on ground balls, good backhand, throws has carry, accurate throws. Short arm action from the outfield, feet get him to the ball, will throw harder with added strength. Starts out tall at the plate, makes consistent contact, quick hands, shows bat speed, hits the ball to all fields, high finish. Has baseball instincts and is an outstanding student.
