Caylon Nichols is a 2016 OF with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Lakeridge. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders, long limbs and present strength on frame with some room to fill out. Ran a 7.65 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, full arm action on throws, fields the ball out front, stays tall at release with strength on throws, arm strength will continue to develop with incorporation of lower half. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base with a medium hand set close to body. Upper body swing, keeps hands close throughout swing, looks to lift in approach, shows the ability to hit to all fields, gets barrel through the zone, shows his strength with carry off the barrel when squared. Very good student.
