Tommy Kinney is a 2017 OF/MIF/C with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Lawton Chiles High School. Medium frame with a medium, athletic build that projects well physically. Posted a 7.09 60 yard dash. In the outfield, used a short arm circle and was accurate on throws to the bag. In the infield, moved well to the ball and consistently made the plays with quick transfer and smooth arm. At the plate, switch hitter, utilized a wide base, slightly open stance with a high back elbow. Medium leg lift timing mechanism. From the left side, repeated plane well and showed feel for barrel with some extension. Better from the right side, present bat speed with lift and extension as well as good hand-eye ability. Would do well to incorporate lower half more into swing. Very good student.
