Andrew Wright is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Wright has a large frame with an athletic build and room to fill. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action and arm speed. He pitches downhill well with some life on his fastball. He gets good armside run on his fastball and sinks it occasionally. Wright throws a change up with good fade to it. He throws a curve ball with short break to it at 74 MPH. Wright pitched well getting all ground balls or strikeouts in his outing. Defensively, Wright has solid actions in the outfield with an easy arm action. He uses a Moises Alou style set up at the plate with developing bat speed. Excellent student.
