Tristin English is a 2015 RHP/OF/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Williamson, GA who attends Pike County HS. Tall, strongly built, very athletic frame with quick twitch type action. Ran a 7.21 60 yard dash. Has positional versatility and baseball functional athleticism. Worked at 90-94 mph on the mound and pitches from a three-quarter arm slot. Has a compact, repeatable arm action that allows him to hide the ball well. Has big life on his fastball and can miss bats with it. Picks at corners with his fastball. Mixes two-seam and four-seam life. Flashed a hard, above average curveball at 81 mph with 11-5 shape. Knows how to his spot his changeup and will cut his fastball at 86 mph. Works fast and attacks hitters. Highest level pitching prospect. Also swung the bat, works from a spread stance and has a short, quick swing path. Hits hard shots to his pull side and the ball jumps off his bat. Shows power to the middle of the field and uses a simple approach to generate it. Hit to the opposite field with authority in game action. Good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
