Austin Pruitt is a 2008 RHP/SS/OF with a 5'11'', 155 lb. frame from The Woodlands, TX who attends The Woodlands College Park. Austin has a thin athletic build, with room to add size to his frame. He has good loose actions on both sides of the ball. He has usable speed, and showed it by running a 7.18 sixty during the workout. As a defensive player he is very fundamentally sound. His hands and exchange both work, and he is smooth to the ball. He has some arm strength, and had a top velocity of 82 mph across the infield. Offensively he hits from a slight open stance, and generates a lot a good contact. He will get long at times when he overswings, but for the most part stays short and compact. He has a high motor, and gets down the line well every time. When he stays short he has a quick line drive swing plane, and he will put the ball in play to all fields.
