Harris is a good athlete with some interesting tools. His body looks lean and athletic with lots of room for projection purposes. He runs well, probably better than the 6.8 he was timed in Ft Myers. We got him in 3.89 in the first 30 on a very slow track. Perhaps the biggest weakness in Harris’ game is his arm. He has a funky arm action that doesn’t produce much velocity or carry on his throws. He doesn’t use his body much to help his throwing so he does have a chance to improve quite a bit with some work. Right now we would grade his arm a 3. On the other hand, it’s Estee’s bat that got us excited. This kid looks like he can hit and with wood. The ball jumps off his bat and he really smoked some line drives in BP. He generates bat speed in the plus category and should hit with power as his body develops. Harris has signed early with Lamar. He could get some serious draft interest, but if not, watch for him to be special coming out of college.
