TOP 20 PROSPECTS

1. Barrett Loseke, rhp, Gastonia (Arkansas/SO in 2017)
Loseke earned heaps of praise from both coaches and scouts around the league for his all-around performance and abilities this summer, both in terms of the numbers he posted and the stuff he possesses. After having an excellent freshman campaign at Arkansas, the rising sophomore was outstanding in the CPL, striking out 48 hitters over 41 innings with a 2.85 ERA, allowing only a .223 batting average against. He did this with a quality arsenal of pitches, working with a fastball in the 90-93 mph range, touching higher at times with significant barrel-missing life, as well as a sharp curveball that he could command both for a strike and as a chase pitch down and out of the zone.
