It
was a cold and wet affair at the USA Baseball Training Complex on
Friday, with Mother Nature limiting the action to just five games in
less-than-ideal conditions. College Park HS (Pleasant Hill, Calif.)
and San Clemente HS (San Clemente, Calif.) emerged victorious in the
day’s two semifinal matchups, guarantying a return of the NHSI
title to the left coast and setting up a Northern versus Southern
California Championship. While the weather and the conditions limited
the looks for evaluators, a handful of players managed to rise above
the frigid temperature
