Nathan Pierce is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends St Mary's HS. Strong athletic build, thick hips with room to get stronger. Left handed hitter, wide spread stance, double tap front foot trigger creating timing problems, early front side in his swing and looking to pull the ball, flashes hand strength and bat speed on his pitch, approach has got less directional and more complicated over the summer but the tools are there to be a solid hitter. Same direction issues have impacted his throwing from behind the plate, is falling off direction with a longer arm action, may be a product of trying too hard. The tools are there.
