Zach Stewart is a 2016 SS/RHP with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Clive, IA who attends Dowling Catholic HS. Young slender athletic build, plenty of room and time to get stronger. Right handed hitter, starts very open and closes, big hand drop load, moves into contact well, handled the bat very well in games and squared the ball up to all fields, has an idea at the plate and sees the ball well, should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.26 runner, moves well on defense, tends to field ball underneath him at times slowing exchange and release, arm works well and arm strength will improve with maturity. Also pitched, 3/4's arm slot, sound delivery that he repeats well. Fastball to 73 mph, soft sweeping curveball, good run and sink on change up, throws strikes and mixes up his pitches. Good student.
