Tyrik Jones is a 2016 OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Lithonia, GA who attends The Galloway HS. Strong compact build, athletic look. Very quick twitch athlete, 6.41 speed, has game changing quickness, easy runner who glides underway with long strides. Has sound fundamentals in the outfield with a good exchange and release, long and loose arm from a lower slot. Right handed hitter, has quick hands and a short and compact swing, fluid load, upper body swing with limited lower half use, hits down to the ball and is best at contacting pitches down in the zone, ball comes off the barrel well. Very interesting player if the bat comes due to his speed. Good student.
