Anthony Conwell is a 2016 OF/MIF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Birmingham, AL who attends Shades Valley HS. Thick and strong compact build. Right handed hitter, spread stance, upper body rotational swing with a small leg lift trigger, has quick hands and generates some bat speed, tends to get his swing started late and has to rush to get the barrel in the zone, line drive swing plane and contact, ball comes off the barrel well. 6.91 runner, played both the outfield and second base and looked more comfortable and natural at second base, plays light on his feet and moves well to the ball, stays down on the ball and has good feet, long arm action but makes accurate throws. Good student.
