Sweeney showed off his 15 lbs of added muscle with increased bat speed and more power in his left handed bat. Perhaps most importantly, he displayed smooth defensive actions and solid arm strength in his comeback from TJ surgery.

Shipers touched 90 mph with his fastball but didn't show the power and command of his slider that he's capable of. His change up has quickly evolved into a potential plus pitch.

Musser continued the improvement curve he's been showing over the past year, getting his fastball up to 91 mph during two very quick and effective innings, along with showing a big breaking curveball and deceptive change up.

Tomscha's name is going to start moving up the prospect lists as his tools keep getting better. He showed a cannon (91 mph) across the infield on defense, ran 6.96 and showed big power in his right handed swing.
Conor Fisk

Fisk is still developing his off speed pitches and consistency in his delivery but there is no mistaking his arm strength. He touched 92 mph on his fastball and sat at 89-90 mph and the ball appeared to get on top of hitters quickly.

Navin, a Vanderbilt commit, showed his high level defensive skills behind the plate, which play just as well in games as they do in drills (1.81 pop).

Redman has a nice three pitch mix in an 86-88 mph fastball, a 78 mph slider and a 73 mph curveball and he does a good job of mixing his pitches and throwing strikes to spots.

Kenyon does one thing very well and that's swing the bat. He was the second most polished and accomplished hitter at the event behind Kellen Sweeney and continues to develop more power and lift in his swing.

Patton has a very nice athletic body and projects to get bigger and stronger with maturity. He runs a 6.76 60 and has smooth athletic actions at shortstop, along with some right handed bat speed.

It's just a matter of time before the long and loose Freese starts throwing in the upper 80's/lower 90's; he topped out at 87 mph this weekend. His 4 pitch mix is very effective when he's using all his pitches.

Loveless is a high level athlete with present strength, sprinter's speed and a strong throwing arm. How his raw bat speed translates into hitting ability will determine what type of player he evolves into.

Peter might have made the prospect list as a left handed pitcher with an 86 mph fastball but his ceiling is much higher as a left handed hitter with a sweet swing that projects power. His defensive skills/tools are very solid as well.

Platts threw 86-88 mph consistently and at a well proportioned 6-4, 210 is the type who is going to throw harder in the future. He commands his big breaking curveball like a veteran and has some feel for a change up.

The 6-2, 175 lb Day is very loose and projectable and will keep improving as he gets stronger. He has next level run/throw tools right now, including 6.77 speed, but how added strength translates to added bat speed will be the key in his development.

Shull is a classic projection at 6-5, 205 lbs with loose, effortless actions on the mound. He pitches in the mid 80's now and has three different secondary pitches he can show a hitter in any at bat.

Murphy has all the tools to be a very good defensive centerfielder at the next level, including 6.73 speed. He swings the bat with some authority and should keep improving as he gets stronger.

Kenny and fellow southpaw Braden Shull are very similar prospects, with loose, tension free arm actions from the left side, present mid 80's fastballs and a feel for changing speeds.

The 5-10 Shulista is obviously undersized for a right handed pitcher but his curveball and change up both might have been the best such offerings at the showcase and his mid 80's fastball was plenty firm enough to keep hitter's honest.

Rash has all the attributes you look for in a young pitching prospect, between his projectable 6-4, 180 lb frame, his loose quick arm and his improving fastball velocity, which was up to 89 mph in Cedar Rapids.

The 6-5 Norman is a very interesting and projectable athlete who could develop into either a left handed pitching prospect or a power hitting first baseman depending on how his skills and tools mature.
Dakota Miller

Miller is much stronger than most of his 2012 peers and has advanced skills as well. He pitched in the mid-80's with a sharp breaking 76 mph slider. Miller also has some power and bat speed as a position prospect.
