2009 Top Prospects

Bryan Mitchell  RHP - 2009 - Reidsville, NC
North Carolina

A projectable right-hander, Bryan topped out at 91 with a fastball that comes out of his hand very easily. Bryan shows the making of a tight 12 to 6 curveball and could wind up being one of the hardest throwers in his class.

Daniel Aldrich  OF - 2009 - Mt. Pleasant, SC
College of Charleston

Daniel cemented his spot among the nation’s premier prospects after taking home MVP honors of the 17U WWBA Championship this summer. At the plate Daniel shows big bat speed from the left side with good raw power potential. He is a good all-around athlete that projects well as a corner outfielder.

Tyler Tewell  C - 2009 - Matthews, NC
Appalachian State

Come workout time, Tyler put on as good off a show as anyone with a huge arm in the outfield (92 OF), very solid catching tools (81 C, 1.88) and good raw hitting tools. Tyler swung the bat very well during the games and will be a player that MLB Scouts will need to see next spring.

William Henderson  OF - 2009 - Rutherfordton, NC
UNC-Greensboro

A toolsy outfielder, William put on impressive show in the workout, showing off a big arm (90 OF) and very sound hitting tools. William posted a 6.98 sixty and had arguably the most well-rounded game of any player at the event.

Brandon Crigger  LHP - 2009 - Saint Leonard, MD
Radford

One of many two-way prospects at the event, Brandon showed a very live arm running his fastball up to 87 with lots of deception in his delivery. Brandon has a lot tools to work with from the left side and should help lead one of the top high school teams in the country next spring.

Robbie Haben  3B - 2009 - Orlando, FL
George Washington

From a pure hitting standpoint, Robbie might have been the top prospect at the showcase putting on a very impressive performance with his bat. Robbie has a short simple swing and the ball really jumps off his bat. He is very aggressive at the plate and projects to hit for a good amount of power down the road.

Corey Roberts  RHP - 2009 - Charlotte, NC
University of North Carolina-Charlotte

Corey showed a solid two-pitch mix at the showcase including a fastball that sat in the 85-88 range and a fairly tight curveball. He has a simple and easy delivery with a good feel for pitching and should contribute early on in college.

Sammy Lett  MIF - 2009 - Colleyville, TX
McLennan CC

Walker Rackley  OF - 2009 - Asheville, NC
Uncommitted

2010 Top Prospects

Mitchell Shifflett  OF - 2010 - Midlothian, VA
Virginia

After running a blazing 6.45 sixty on grass and showing good hitting tools, Mitchell has positioned himself as one of the 2010 prospects in the country. At the plate Mitchell stays inside the ball with quick hands and projects very well for the future.

Brandon Browne  LHP - 2010 - Hope Mills, NC
UNC-Greensboro

An intriguing 2010 prospect, Brandon showed good upside on the mound and at the plate. His fastball sat in the 83-86 range and he filled up the zone with fairly tight slider and curveball. At the plate Brandon stays inside the ball well with good bat speed and has the tools to be considered a legit two-way prospect.

Kyle Hufham  RHP - 2010 - Delco, NC
North Carolina

Kyle is very solid 2010 prospect on the mound who has a good feel for three pitches including a fastball that reaches 88. He gets very good armside run on his fastball and showed a tight spin on his curveball.
