Iron Pigs defeats Central Florida Wolverines after late game double, 7-6 to take home the championship. Mac Guscette (Venice Senior, Nokomis, FL 2020) was the hot hitter for Iron Pigs. He racked up three RBIs on two hits for Iron Pigs. Juanier Diaz (Lake Nona, Orlando, FL 2018) was the hot hitter for Central Florida Wolverines. He went 2-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Kyle Machado (Charlotte, Port Charlotte, FL 2019) brought the heat against Central Florida Wolverines during his outing. He held Central Florida Wolverines hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one. Jarrin Sweeney (Colonial, Orlando, FL 2018) took the loss for Central Florid a Wolverines. He allowed seven runs in 6 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

Central Florida Wolverines defeats Florida Stealth after late game double, 3-2. Alex Merrero (Boone, Ocoee, FL 2018) racked up two RBIs on one hit for Central Florida Wolverines. Florida Stealth jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. A triple by Garrett Evans (Apopka, Apopka, FL 2018) started the inning off.

Julian Rivera (Lake Nona, Orlando, FL 2018) was a workhorse on the mound for Central Florida Wolverines. He pitched 5 1/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out none. Nicholas Pitelli (Doral Academy Charter, Miami, FL 2019) took the loss for Florida Stealth. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed no runs.

Great pitching leads Iron Pigs pas The Roaddogs 3-0. Giovanni Digiacomo (Naples, Naples, FL 2018) was hot from the plate for Iron Pigs. He went 2-3 and scored three runs with a single in the first and fifth innings. Iron Pigs didn't relinquish the lead after scoring one run in the first inning when it scored on an RBI single by Kyle Machado (Charlotte, Port Charlotte, FL 2019).

Joshua Kinker (Venice Senior, North Port, FL 2019) looked sharp on the bump. The Roaddogs managed just one hit off of the Iron Pigs' pitcher. He allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his seven innings of work. Bradley Driggers (Hamilton County, Jasper, FL 2018) took the loss for The Roaddogs. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The Roaddogs outlast Team Wolverines in high-scoring affair, 11-10. The teams banged out 22 hits between them, as well as four for extra bases. Peston Sutton (Baker, Macclenny, FL 2018), Bradley Driggers (Hamilton County, Jasper, FL 2018) and Smith IV helped lead The Roaddogs. They combined for six hits and seven RBIs.

Clayton Smith IV (Baker, Macclenny, FL 2018) got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed two runs over two innings with striking out two, walked none and gave up two hits. Florida Stealth beats Orlando Stingers South 1-0. Nicholas Pitelli (Doral Academy Charter, Miami, FL 2019) went 2-3 with a single in the first and third innings. In the third inning, Florida Stealth pushed across its only run of the day on an RBI single by Christopher Ferara (Coral Springs Charter, Coral Springs, FL 2019).

Orlando Stingers South's lineup had no answer for Nelson Berkwich (Boca Raton Community, Boca Raton, FL 2020). Orlando Stingers South managed just one hit off of the pitcher. He allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work. Jose Rodriguez (Ida Baker, Cape Coral, FL 2018) couldn't get it done on the bump for Orlando Stingers South, with getting the loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.

The Roaddogs defeated Team Wolverines by a final score of 4-2 on Monday. This win improves their record to (2-2) for the tournament thus far.

Ethan Umstead (2019, Columbia, FL) was the leader on offense for the Roaddogs. He finished the game 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBI's. Preston Sutton (2018, Baker, FL) was the other offensive leader for the Roaddogs as he went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Christopher Howard (2020, Suwannee, FL) was the winning pitcher in this one after he tossed 3 shutout innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 2 batters. Jarren Hodges (2018, Baker, FL) tossed 2 perfect innings to earn the save.

Brandon Fields (2020, Orlando, FL) finished with the lone extra base hit for Team Wolverine as he went 1 for 3 with a double. Ryan Fischer (2019, Lake Brantley, FL) was perfect at the plate as he went 1 for 1 with a walk. Pitcher William Cantrell (2018, West Orange, FL) pitched 2 shutout innings for Team Wolverine allowing just 1 hit, and 1 walk, while striking out 2.

The Central Florida Wolverines defeated the Orlando Stingers South by a final score of 3-1 on Monday. This win improved the Wolverines record to (3-1) for the tournament thus far.

The Wolverines were led by winning pitcher Josiah Rivera (2018, West Orange, FL) who pitched 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 8 hits, and 2 walks, while striking out 1. Rivera also went 1 for 2 from the plate with a walk. Also on offense, Clayton Powell (2019, Boone, FL) went 1 for 3 with a double for the teams lone extra base hit. Edgar Alvarez (2019, Boone, FL) and Jarrin Sweeney (2018, Colonial, FL) each stole bases.

Tony Rios (2018, Ida Baker, FL) did it all for the Stingers. He went 2 for 4 at the plate with a double and an RBI. On the mound he pitched 6 innings in which he gave up 6 hits, 1 earned run, and 4 walks, while striking out 1 batter. Max Rippl (2018, Bishop Verot, FL) also played well for Orlando as he went 1 for 4 with a double and a stolen base in this one. Tyler Prell (2018, Riverdale, FL), Cam Hoines (2018, Bishop Verot, FL), and Derek Rascher (2018, Palmetto Ridge, FL) each had multi-hit games for Orlando.

The Florida Stealth defeated Team Wolverines by a final score of 2-1 on Monday. This win improves Stealth's record to (2-2) for the tournament thus far.

Stealth earned this win with a walk off fielders choice by Logan Rubin (2020, Coral Spring, FL) in the 7th inning. Dylan Goldstein (2019, American Heritage, FL) was also able to drive in a run for Florida as part of his 1 for 3 day at the plate. Christian Lopez (2018, Mater Academy Lakes, FL) also finished 1 for 3 but he had a double in this one. Samuel Infante (2019, Mater Academy Lakes, FL) was the winning pitcher for Florida as he threw 1 inning of relief and allowed 1 hit. 

Christopher Vervoordt (2018, Lake Nona, FL) led offensively for the Wolverines by going 1 for 1 at the plate with 2 walks taken. Their starter Joseph Martin (2018, Celebration, FL) pitched well in his 4 innings of work as he allowed 4 hits, 1 earned run, and 1 walk, while striking out 2.

The Roaddogs defeated the Iron Pigs by a final score of 6-5 on Monday to pick up their first win of the tournament. Their record is now (1-2) for the tournament.

Preston Sutton (2018, Baker, FL) led on offense for the Roaddogs by having an all-around good game from the plate that included a walk off double to seal the win. He finished 3 for 4 in total with 2 RBI's. Landon Bonds (2019, Suwannee, FL) also had a multi-hit game as he went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Also driving in runs were Clayton Smith IV (2018, Baker, FL) and Bradley Driggers (2018, Hamilton County, FL). Noah Carter (2019, Baker, FL) had a double in this game as he finished 1 for 3 on the day. Carter also earned the win on the mound for the Roaddogs. He threw 3 innings in which he allowed 2 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 2.

Trey Cruz (2018, Newsome, FL) led on offense for the Iron Pigs. He finished 2 for 3 with 1 RBI in this one. Also with a multi-hit game was Aaron Martin (2019, Charlotte, FL) who finished 2 for 4. Levi Shuck (2018, Ida Baker, FL) was their starter and threw 4 quality innings. He allowed 4 hits, 2 unearned runs, and 1 walk, while striking out 2. Shuck also had a hit and a walk in this one.

Nick Grice (Tavares, Howey In The Hills, FL 2019) led Central Florida Wolverines' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI with a single in the fifth and sixth innings.

Edgar Alvarez (Boone, Orlando, FL 2019) picked up the win for Central Florida Wolverines. Alvarez pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out one. Jordan Carrion (Doral Academy Charter, Miami, FL 2019) ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision with getting the loss. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed three runs.

Team Wolverines scored its only run of the game on a sacrifice fly by Christopher Vervoordt (Lake Nona, Orlando, FL 2018) in the first inning.

He held Team Wolverines hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out three. Team Wolverines jumps on Orlando Stingers South early and coasts to 15-5 win. With eight runs in the first three innings, Team Wolverines left no doubt about the eventual outcome. Central Florida Wolverines got seven hits compared with just four for Iron Pigs, but Central Florida Wolverines stranded ten on base. Kyle Machado (Charlotte, Port Charlotte, FL 2019) was the hot hitter for Iron Pigs. He went 1-2 for the game and had two RBIs.

Tom Wilander's (Canterbury, Fort Myers, FL 2018) five strikeouts were enough to push Iron Pigs past Central Florida Wolverines. He allowed one earned run on four hits and one walk over 4 2/3 innings. Andrew Dunham (West Orange, Winter Garden, FL 2019) took the loss for Central Florida Wolverines. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.

Orlando Stingers South Pull Away for 6-1 Win

Orlando Stingers South scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to pull away and claim a 6-1 victory over Florida Stealth at Terry Park on Saturday.

Jose Rodriguez (2018, Ida Baker HS, FL) drove in two runs for the Stingers, and Tony Rios (2018, Ida Baker HS, FL) recorded one batted in. Tyler Prell (2018, Riverdale HS, FL) led the team with a pair of singles, while Prell and Derek Rascher (2018, Palmetto Ridge HS, FL) scored two runs apiece in the Stingers victory.

Rodriguez also earned the victory on the mound, as he did not allow an earned run with two strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 67 mph.

The Stealth run was scored by Christopher Ferara (2019, Coral Springs Charter School, FL), and Dylan Goldstein (2019, American Heritage School, FL) led the team with two hits, including a double.
