Newport cut Redmond's lead to half a game with a 3-2 win at home last night.
Jared Fisher's two-run Home Run in the bottom of the fourth broke the 1-1 tie and put the Knights ahead for good.
Cole Wiper struck out ten over four innings to earn the win for Newport. The Knights, who wrestled away the tie-breaker from the top ranked team in the state will face Eastlake today with the division title on the line. Redmond has concluded its regular season at 14-6 (3-3) and need Eastlake to win today in order to clinch the division.
