Top 50 Junior College Teams (List), Feature on No. 1 CAC
Top 200 Junior College Prospects

1. CENTRAL ARIZONA (2012 record: 47-15)

PROFILE:
The Vaqueros have reached the championship game of the Junior College World Series twice in the last 11 years (first in 2002, second in 2011), and may have their best team yet this season with 14 Division I transfers on hand to augment the return of a deep pitching staff. Sophomore RHPs Ricardo Jacquez (2-1, 5.79 at Texas) and Jess Amedee (5-4, 6.03 at Northern Colorado) join holdover RHPs Jordan Kipper (9-3, 2.78), a Texas Christian recruit, and Brandon Zywicki (8-2, 1.57), a San Francisco signee, in the rotation, while sophomore RHP Junior Zepeda (2-1, 2.01, 16 SV) anchors the bullpen. The Vaqueros have no returning position players, but SS David Masters (Arkansas), and OFs Jordan Dunatov (Oregon State), Spencer O’Neil (Oregon) and Sean Hurley (Miami) are among the talented crop of newcomers.
