• Use
Agility as warm-up for speed & power drills.
• Do
Agility BEFORE lower-body strength training.
• Use
simple movement patterns to improve athleticism.
• Use
good form & technique. Do not increase speed until technique is
perfected.
• Train
at game-speed. Drills should be short & intense, simulating
baseball-actions.
• Full-recovery
for muscles between drills required to improve game-speed movement.
• Begin
with low-intensity & frequency of work.
• Use
drills that provide rapid change of lateral, forward, & backward
movement.
