2015 Perfect Game Super25 Internship Positions
The Perfect Game internship provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to learn scouting and scouting terminology while also receiving a platform in which the interns can meet individuals from the scouting and college recruiting community. Several former interns are now serving key roles for Perfect Game and/or have moved onto professional scouting careers as a result of this opportunity.
**Please Note: All interns are responsible for their own housing. When on the road for an event, all travel; lodging and appropriate meals will be covered.
Super25 Tournament Assistant
Positions: 1 (Emerson, Georgia)
Dates: Spring '15 - Summer '15 (dates can be flexible)
Pay: Hourly
Location: Perfect Game Headquarters at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA.
Primary responsibilities:
• Assist tournament directors in schedule management and acquiring information for the individual team's rosters.
• Provide administrative assistance in PG's main office including, but not limited to answering phones and providing customer service, entering scouting notes at the conclusion of each showcase.
• Complete preparation of each tournament in regards to contacting coaches and assisting them in their tournament registration requirements.
Requirements:
It is preferred that the candidates have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Candidates must have strong verbal skills and be able to work in a fast pace environment. Perfect Game's summer tournaments run from late May through early August with 200-300 games being played on a daily basis during the peak of the season. While this is primarily an office position, some travel for direct event assistance could occur.
Super25 Social Media/Journalism Intern
Positions: 1 (Emerson, Georgia)
Dates: Summer ’15 (dates can be flexible)
Pay: Hourly
Location: Emerson, GA
Primary responsibilities:
• Create and publish content for the Super25 website and social media platforms
• Update all Super25 social media accounts with creative posts, pictures from the events, and videos
• Respond to posts or comments to provide customer service and create interaction with the players, coaches, and parents that are involved with the Super25 tournament series
• Write game recaps and feature stories to be posted on the Perfect Game website
Requirements:
It is required that the candidates have strong writing and compositional skills, ability to meet deadlines and a strong understanding of the game of baseball. Candidates must have knowledge of social media and experience using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. While it is not required, it is preferred that candidates also have experience using digital media and video editing software (Photoshop, iMovie, etc.)
