Trent Williams is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Irvington, AL who attends Alma Bryant. Medium, athletic frame with slender present build and good projection remaining. Posted a 6.88 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit with high hand set, leg kick trigger, very short path to the hitting zone with compact swing and solid hand speed. Line drive swing plane, looking to put the ball in play to all fields, shifts well into contact and uses lower half well. Good overall bat to ball skills; will drive the ball better with increased strength gains. Worked out well in the infield defensively, quick to ball with clean and efficient footwork, smooth around the bag with range to both sides, fast hands, made accurate throws across the diamond with quick release, clocked up to 78 MPH. Good student.
