Trey Ramos is a 2016 OF/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Azle, TX who attends Azle HS. Strong and athletic build. Didn't run the sixty but showed speed on defense and especially on the bases. Plays both middle infield and the outfield well. Very good outfield arm strength with a quick release and strong accurate throws. Gets behind the ball in the infield with athletic balance, strong arm and can throw from all arm angles, can soften hands a bit but sound otherwise. Right handed hitter, has quick hands and generates bat speed from a simple and effective load, will lean back in his swing occasionally but uses his lower half well, makes hard contact and has the tools to keep improving. Solid all around player and like the aggressiveness and confidence he plays with. Good student.
