Trenton Sholders is a 2016 RHP/OF/1B with a 6-4 170 lb. frame from Angleton, TX who attends Angleton HS. Has a long lean build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to put on additional muscle. Primary right-handed pitcher that throws from a 3/4 arm slot with quick loose arm action that works well. Has a tight arm circle in the back with good extension out in front. Stays tall on the back side and utilizes his lower half well. Fastball has a little natural cutting action with good life. Slider is sharp with 9/7 shape and good sweeping action and depth, tight rotation. Has a good feel for ptiches and mixes well in his smooth repeatable delivery. From the outfield, short footwork to the baseball with good arm speed and carry on throws. At the plate, left-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set, high back elbow and a toe-tap load. Has a loose swing with developing strength. Projects very well. Named to South Uncommitted Top Prospect List.
