Austin Sacks is a 2017 OF/C, IF, 1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends American Heritage. Athletic build with present strength, sturdy and well-proportioned frame. Left handed hitter, big upper half coil in load, shows ability to come uncoiled well and attack the baseball. Length and leverage in the swing path, pull-oriented approach, flashes solid power pullside power. Strong hands and wrists, will need to keep frontside closed to consistently fight off pitches on the outer third. Worked out in the outfield in defensive drills, has loose arm action and ball carries well out of the hand, up to 79 mph to the bases. Ran a 7.20 60-yard dash, has some interesting tools. Excellent student.
