Kyle Mitchell is a 2016 SS with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from San Antonio, TX who attends Antonian College Prep HS. Tall and slender build, very projectable physically. Right handed hitter, simple and direct hitting mechanics, good lower half use, everything flows to contact well, hits the ball hard from gap to gap with a controlled yet strong swing, ball sounds good off the bat, really projects as a hitter if he can get stronger. 7.34 runner, soft hands at the ball, has plenty of arm strength, smooth and easy actions, charges the ball well when he needs to with quick feet, makes all the plays. Also pitched, threw strikes with an 80 mph fastball and good slider, knows how to pitch. Whole key will be getting stronger, has the athletic ability and the baseball skills. Good student.
