Xzavian Gonzales is a 2017 2B/LHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Jurupa Valley. Medium, young, athletic frame and build with good physical projection moving forward. Hits from narrow, open stance. Short swing with good hands, shifts weight well into contact, pull-field approach with consistent line drive contact to the pull field. Will drive ball more with additional physical development. Good actions defensively in the infield, deliberate movements that work well, clean release with accurate throws across the diamond, registering at 73 MPH. Pitched as well, showing leg lift delivery with spine tilt back, gathers well over rubber, long arm action with some stab/wrap in back. Uses legs well in delivery, throws strikes consistently with FB that worked 72-75. Showed feel for 1/7 CB with good depth and spin. Good student.
