Josh Winckowski is a 2016 RHP/UT with a 6-2 161 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Cypress Lake HS. Tall slender young build, very projectable physically. Long extended arm action, deep stab in back, over the top arm slot, works downhill, fast paced delivery with a long stride out front, tends to fall off to first base on release but repeats well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph, heavy sink down in the zone at times, will cut fastball at other times. Nice slider, good tilt and depth with occasional sharp bite. Attacks hitters in the zone, throws strikes with both pitches and knows how to mix. Did not see a change up. Velocity has increased from 78 mph in September to 82 in October to 85 in late December. Right handed hitter, upright stance, long rotational swing, flashes occasional pull power, has leverage due to length. Good student. Named to the National Underclass Showcase Main Event Top Prospect Team.
