Jake Thompson is a 2016 SS/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Albert Lea, MN who attends Albert Lea HS. Slender young build, minimal present strength. 7.33 runner, has athletic actions in the infield, good hands and balance at the ball, can improve footwork and quickness in his release, has a loose projectable arm and makes accurate throws, middle infield tools to develop. Left handed hitter, leg raise trigger, uppercut swing plane with some backwards upper body lean, soft spray contact, best contact pulling the ball, should continue to improve with more strength. Very good student.
