Myles Smith is a 2016 OF/LHP with a 5-6 152 lb. frame from Stone Mountain, GA who attends Shiloh HS. Shorter compact build, has some present strength, athletic look. Left handed hitter, short simple swing approach with solid overall swing mechanics, quick hands, hits the ball to all fields and squares up, can get the ball up the gaps. 7.08 runner, gets out of the box quickly and runs the bases well. Sound outfield fundamentals, gets good reads and runs good routes to the ball, throws have good carry and are accurate, has some centerfield skills and tools. Also pitched, short compact arm action, on line repeatable delivery, low effort release, uses his lower half well to generate power. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, nice arm side running action. Curveball shows good depth with some bite on its break, Throws strikes and works ahead. Nice athlete with baseball skills. Good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
