Carter King is a 2016 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Mount Airy, GA who attends Rabun Gap Nacoochee HS. Tall with lean build, long-limbs, room to add more strength. Solid present athleticism and looseness. Ran a 6.97 60-yard dash. Solid, online delivery, shows ability to drive well through release, but some inconsistent use of lower half at times. Long, loose arm-action with slight stab on backside, arm works through path well to extension. Fastball up to 82 mph with natural cut, shows ability to miss barrels. Good feel for a changeup in 72-75 mph range, still developing consistent feel for curveball. Arm plays well in outfield, hit 90 mph from right field in workouts. Stays balanced throughout, works through well and maintained solid line to bases. Switch hitter, shows good hitting tools from both sides, a bit better overall from left side. Shift to contact with high hand set, back elbow, repeats swing well and ball shows good carry, can get a bit more rotational and stiff from right side. Overall solid potential on both sides of ball. Tremendous student.
