John Tipps is a 2015 SS/RHP with a 6-0 171 lb. frame from Nashville, TN who attends Montgomery Bell Academy. Medium, athletic built with more room to add strength. Ran a 7.06 60 yard dash. Shows quick infield actions at shortstops and makes the plays consistently. Shows good raw arm strength across the diamond. Bats from both sides, works from a slightly open setup and shows good hand speed. Hits the ball where it's pitched and produces consistent line drives. Also took the mound, reaches 78 mph from a lower arm slot. Also mixes in a 68 mph curveball with sweeping break. Flashes a 71 mph changeup. Excellent student.
