Jordan Keanini is a 2016 LHP/OF, 1B with a 5-11 167 lb. frame from Goodyear, AZ who attends Desert Edge HS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with strength. Ran a .743 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher, works with a short and compact arm action and high three-quarter arm slot. Stays tall on backside and incorporates lower half well, loose arm action and works well with extension out front, repeats mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly true in life but generates downhill plane and pitches off fastball effectively. Locates to both sides of plate, curveball shows 1-7 shape at 67 mph with short depth and tight rotation with nice arm speed. Fields ball out in front in outfielder, show fluidity to arm action and gets on top while working through the ball. Nice fundamentals at first base, under control actions and accuracy on throws. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and hands out front and away from body. Pulls hands back at start of swing, stays short to the ball and gets the barrel through the zone well. Occasionally gets out on front side early, shows carry off the barrel when squared and timed well. Good student.
